Play Therapy

45 Minute Sessions

Therapy for children ages 2-8 where the use of toys and imagination allows for healthy expression of their thoughts and feelings about the world around them. As adults we are able to easily articulate our thoughts and feelings about our day-to-day lives while younger children have not yet fully developed this ability. In play therapy they are given the chance to express themselves and process their world in a way that is developmentally appropriate.

Individual
& Teen Counseling

50 Minute Sessions

Talk therapy for any individual adult, teen or tween.

Depending on therapeutic goals and reasons for coming to counseling this can sometimes include teaching various coping skills, social skills, and healthy communication.

Family Counseling

50 Minute Sessions

Talk therapy for children and their family members, or anyone that is actively involved in the child's daily life. As a team we can talk through presenting concerns as well as come up with an individualized treatment plan that specifically suits your families needs. These sessions are also reserved for parents/caregivers that have children in play therapy. In parent/caregiver sessions we discuss ways to best support the child outside of therapy and ways to incorporate appropriate parenting skills and techniques.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

A form of Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) that treats children who have experienced a traumatic event. This form of CBT uses psychoeducation, relaxation techniques, cognitive reframing, creating/processing the trauma narrative, healthy communication, and safety planning.

  • Will my health insurance cover therapy?
As an out of network provider, I do not accept health insurance. However, I do provide a super bill which can be submitted to your insurance provider for a partial or full reimbursement of services. To better understand what percentage of costs your insurance will reimburse, contact your insurance provider directly.
  • How much does it cost?
Rates vary depending on what service is being provided. Expect to pay more for longer services (intake appointment) and less for shorter services (play therapy). For current rates please call (936) 523-2066 and/or email hayleyfinley.lpc@gmail.com.
  • Do you offer virtual/telehealth appointments?
Yes, I do offer virtual/telehealth appointments. These appointments are only offered if appropriate for the clients needs. Age, presenting symptoms, privacy, and safety are all considered before scheduling a virtual/telehealth appointment.
  • How long will the process take?
Everyone’s therapy process is different. Depending on treatment goals as well as presenting concerns and symptoms therapy can be short term or long term. Potential length of time in therapy will be discussed during the intake appointment when treatment planning. By law all individuals/families in counseling will receive what is called a “Good Faith Estimate” which details your estimated total costs for private pay therapy.

Schedule an Appointment...

Give me a call (936) 523-2066 and/or email hayleyfinley.lpc@gmail.com to schedule a
complimentary 15 minute consultation phone call.

During this phone call we will discuss what your concerns are and how I can potentially help. I am happy to answer any questions and to provide referrals connecting you with appropriate services that I may not be able to assist with. If you decide that I am a good fit for you and/or your child we can then schedule an initial appointment. This initial appointment is also referred to as an intake appointment which can take anywhere from 90 to 120 minutes. The intake appointment is where we will meet to discuss all intake paperwork, clients health history, complete mental health assessments/questionnaires, begin treatment planning, and decide overall goals in therapy.
